INDIO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Ahead of his headlining performance to close out Coachella on Sunday night, rapper Eminem tried his hand at something new – selling pasta from a pop-up restaurant.
Eminem’s pop-up food stand “Moms Spaghetti” at Coachella, selling the pasta treat with options including garlic bread, meatballs, and mozzarella, or just straight pasta and sauce.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the pasta was locally sourced from a commissary kitchen and sold for $9 dollars for the basic meal, or $12 dollars with meatballs. He also sold a spaghetti sandwich for $11 dollars.
While spaghetti might seem like an unusual choice for a pop-up restaurant, the dish was a callout to a lyric in Em’s signature 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” — “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/there’s vomit on his sweater already—Mom’s spaghetti.”
Eminem hyped the pop-up restaurant with a post on his social media, and fans were greeted with a billboard apprising them of the culinary option on the highway to Indio.
Last year, he launched a popup with the same name in his hometown of Detroit ahead of the launch of his latest album “Revival.”
